About
As
a child, Veronica was constantly
into baking and craft, much of which was learned from her
mother.
Then she "grew up" and
as her career in the
worlds of accounting, investment banking and executive coaching
flourished,
her creativity languished
into the background. She even thought that she wasn't creative, to the
extent that she declined the option to include "Creative Management"
when she
was studying for her MBA!
Many
years later, as she
journalled
in her notebook one day, she wrote, "Why do I keep hearing the words,
'baking and art'?" She never found the answer to that question, but the
next day, she did begin baking, sugarcraft
and cake design once again. And it turns out that Veronica absolutely
loves baking and art.
That's
how Cakes By Veronica Lim
was born.
Veronica
uses only the best
ingredients that she can find –
free range
eggs, fresh
double cream, finest Belgian chocolate, fresh herbs, spices, nuts and
liqueuers, and as much as possible, organic and Fairtrade ingredients -
and all decorations and flowers are hand-crafted from sugar.
Veronica loves her cakes "fresh, pretty
and delicious".
That's
also why she keeps things
artisan, where there are no
factories and no preservatives. Just luxury handmade deliciousness,
designed and baked just for
you.
