Designing Your Business so It Fits

New Consciousness Entrepreneurs have one thing in common. They love the work they do and they love the lifestyle they have….that’s what the underlying purpose is for their business. Their business is a vehicle through which they are the fullest expression of who they are, and this also means that it facilitates the lifestyle that they choose.

Having “more” of everything is not what motivates them in and of itself, but they are inspired to be more, to have fuller and more fulfilling experiences, and to give back more also – whether that’s by gifting, sharing, collaborating or outsourcing.

So the business of the New Consciousness Entrepreneur serves many purposes – to make a profit, to facilitate a lifestyle, to enable giving back, to be a vehicle for expression – fun, joy, laughter, fulfilment, inspiration and many other expansive energies.

And at the very heart of that business is YOU.

Choose How You Want Your Life to Be First

What do you want? What do you choose? What do you decide?

Those are the key questions and you don’t need to answer them in minute detail. Paint the picture instead in broad strokes. The reason I ask my clients to paint this in broad strokes are twofold.

(i) so their head doesn’t get in the way with words along the lines of, “But you’ll never be able to get that. How do you think you’ll do that?” and so on.
(ii) So they capture the ESSENCE of what they want while still leaving enough undefined for more and better than they might otherwise define

How do you want your life to be? Do you want more time to spend with your family and friends? Would you like to travel? A lot or intermittently? What kind of lifestyle would you choose?

Make that picture as vivid as you possibly can and paint it so well that you can feel exactly what it’s like.

Now bring in the picture of your business. What would you choose for your business? How would you design it so it fits in with your life?

And…how much money would you need to generate through your business to facilitate the life you want? No need to work out all the hows – just, how much.

Keep Focused & Open to Possibility

Then make a decision that that’s what you want. When you make a decision, you’re cutting off all other options – nothing less than having what you want will do! Your job now is to keep focused. Keep your picture of your life and your business you’ve just painted alive, AND to take the steps forward, one by one, through ACTION, as you receive the inspiration and ideas for what’s next. Be open to possibility. As each opportunity arises, say yes to it and take your next step.

Take Action

You don’t need to plan every step – only as much as you do know right now, but you do need to take each step as it arises and be open to the possibility of more arriving at your doorstep than you could ever have planned for yourself.
