“What? Distraction is good for success in my business?”

Yes, absolutely… providing it is planned.

There’s a concept called the 50/10 concept. It took me a while to get around to using it, and when I finally did, I was surprised at how much I actually achieved. I got more done, not just in my business, but also in the other areas of my life.

If you apply this concept, you can easily double your effectiveness and productivity, and what this means is that you can work fewer hours, get more done and spend more time with family or doing other things you love.

I wish I could take credit for it, but I can’t. I first heard Ryan Deiss (highly successful internet marketer) mention it on one of his tele-seminars, and then I heard Dave Lakhani (President of www.boldapproach.com, a leading business acceleration strategy, sales and marketing, consulting and training firm and author of many books, his latest being, “How To Sell When Nobody’s Buying”) talk about it in an interview with Eben Pagan (another extraordinarily successful internet marketer whose business generates $20m in annual sales).

Here’s a short video that explains the concept.

The reason it works so well is because it takes us a while to get started again if we are interrupted. Hence, it is important that the 50 minutes are pure uninterrupted time. So you save your time and effort in getting momentum going again from interruptions – that short phone call, the quick conversation, going to the loo, making a cup of coffee, checking emails… you get the idea.

The other surprise I had was how uplifting it was when it came to the 10 minute break. It truly felt like a mini-vacation. Very surprising, how light those 10 minutes felt, and the bonus was it felt much longer than 10 minutes! Sometimes, I’d go for a walk around the verandah, other times for a walk in the garden, or I’d fold up some of the clothes in the clean washing pile, or hang out the fresh washing to dry, or put a magazine away that had been lying around. I’d end my days getting more done, in less time, and feeling more refreshed than before I did the 50/10. My productivity and focus shot right through the roof with this simple concept.

So, how do you time yourself? Here’s an online stopwatch which allows you to count down your 50 minutes.

More done and more time off! A dream come true, especially for those of us who love living a business and lifestyle we love (or want to), all at the same time. What are you waiting for!

Leave a comment on how this works for you.

… the answer is, “bake”. Are you making time to bake?

Many years ago, when I first started my coaching business, I stood in my kitchen making jelly. And in that moment, I realized that one of my definitions of success was, “Being able to make jelly in the middle of my kitchen in the middle of the week when everyone else is at work.”

So it is also, for me, with baking. As a child, I would watch my Mum bake every weekend. I’d follow her every move and jump at the chance to help. She’d explain why she was doing what she did and how it made a difference to the cake. Then when I was 11, I made my very first cake, under the watchful eye of my cousin who was also 11 at the time. And I’ve loved baking and making all kinds of desserts and puddings ever since.

With it being Christmas, I’ve made a few desserts over the last few days. And I was reminded of how much I love to do this kind of thing. It feels wonderful… I feel wonderful, life feels wonderful… and in that moment I remember with more depth what freedom feels like and it reconnects me to one of the main ‘whys’ of my business… because, like the jelly for me, that is also the feeling of success.

So the point that I’m wanting you to get here is that when we are in business for ourselves, we often forget to still do the things that we love. It may possibly be that you’ve even forgotten what that thing is that you love. But doing the thing that you love is one of the most important things you can do for your business, because it gets you back to your ‘why’, it gets you back to remembering what success in this game of life feels like. And it’s that feeling of success that pulls you forward and pulls you through when times feel hard.

And when that same feeling permeates the very work that you do, then you know… you’re firmly on the spiral of success.

We’re well and truly into the final month of 2009. What you do this month in your business will build a foundation for 2010. What kind of foundation will you build?

As we go through our days and about our business, we often to things without too much thought. We often do things and respond (or react) through habit. Even what we think is mostly habitual thought. And when we operate simply from habit, we miss things – not just in our business but also in our life.

I thought I’d share this story with you because it clearly shows how we miss things. You may well have come across this story before, and even if you have, I think it’s a good reminder, especially as we close out the year and begin a new one. Why? Because it’s prime time to lay the foundation for next year.

Here it is.

Washington, DC Metro Station, on a cold January morning in 2007. The man with a violin played six Bach pieces for about 45 minutes. During that time approx. 2 thousand people went through the station, most of them on their way to work. After 3 minutes a middle aged man noticed there was a musician playing. He slowed his pace and stopped for a few seconds and then hurried to meet his schedule.

4 minutes later: the violinist received his first dollar: a woman threw the money in the hat and, without stopping, continued to walk.

6 minutes: A young man leaned against the wall to listen to him, then looked at his watch and started to walk again.

10 minutes: A 3-year old boy stopped but his mother tugged him along hurriedly. The kid stopped to look at the violinist again, but the mother pushed hard and the child continued to walk, turning his head all the time. This action was repeated by several other children. Every parent, without exception, forced their children to move on quickly.

45 minutes: The musician played continuously. Only 6 people stopped and listened for a short while. About 20 gave money but continued to walk at their normal pace. The man collected a total of $32.

1 hour: He finished playing and silence took over. No one noticed. No one applauded, nor was there any recognition.

No one knew this, but the violinist was Joshua Bell, one of the greatest musicians in the world. He played one of the most intricate pieces ever written, with a violin worth $3.5 million dollars. Two days before Joshua Bell sold out a theater in Boston where the seats averaged $100.

This is a true story. Joshua Bell playing incognito in the metro station was organized by the Washington Post as part of a social experiment about perception, taste and people’s priorities . The questions raised: in a common place environment at an inappropriate hour, do we perceive beauty? Do we stop to appreciate it? Do we recognize talent in an unexpected context?

One possible conclusion reached from this experiment could be this: If we do not have a moment to stop and listen to one of the best musicians in the world, playing some of the finest music ever written, with one of the most beautiful instruments ever made…. How many other things are we missing?

So… take a step back, breathe, and as you head into what may be the busiest time of the year for you, both business-wise and personally, take time to notice and appreciate the things that you might otherwise have missed.

New Consciousness Entrepreneurs have one thing in common. They love the work they do and they love the lifestyle they have….that’s what the underlying purpose is for their business. Their business is a vehicle through which they are the fullest expression of who they are, and this also means that it facilitates the lifestyle that they choose.

Having “more” of everything is not what motivates them in and of itself, but they are inspired to be more, to have fuller and more fulfilling experiences, and to give back more also – whether that’s by gifting, sharing, collaborating or outsourcing.

So the business of the New Consciousness Entrepreneur serves many purposes – to make a profit, to facilitate a lifestyle, to enable giving back, to be a vehicle for expression – fun, joy, laughter, fulfilment, inspiration and many other expansive energies.

And at the very heart of that business is YOU.

Choose How You Want Your Life to Be First

What do you want? What do you choose? What do you decide?

Those are the key questions and you don’t need to answer them in minute detail. Paint the picture instead in broad strokes. The reason I ask my clients to paint this in broad strokes are twofold.

(i)	so their head doesn’t get in the way with words along the lines of, “But you’ll never be able to get that. How do you think you’ll do that?” and so on.
(ii)	So they capture the ESSENCE of what they want while still leaving enough undefined for more and better than they might otherwise define

How do you want your life to be? Do you want more time to spend with your family and friends? Would you like to travel? A lot or intermittently? What kind of lifestyle would you choose?

Make that picture as vivid as you possibly can and paint it so well that you can feel exactly what it’s like.

Now bring in the picture of your business. What would you choose for your business? How would you design it so it fits in with your life?

And…how much money would you need to generate through your business to facilitate the life you want? No need to work out all the hows – just, how much.

Keep Focused & Open to Possibility

Then make a decision that that’s what you want. When you make a decision, you’re cutting off all other options – nothing less than having what you want will do! Your job now is to keep focused. Keep your picture of your life and your business you’ve just painted alive, AND to take the steps forward, one by one, through ACTION, as you receive the inspiration and ideas for what’s next. Be open to possibility. As each opportunity arises, say yes to it and take your next step.

Take Action

You don’t need to plan every step – only as much as you do know right now, but you do need to take each step as it arises and be open to the possibility of more arriving at your doorstep than you could ever have planned for yourself.

As an entrepreneur, learning how to cope with your critics is the single most important skill that you need, whatever stage of growth your business is at.

Not knowing how to do this affects your ability to charge and get what you’re worth and affects the success of your business in terms of your ability to deliver your best work.

For most of us, this challenge comes about at a very young age. At that age, many of us feared losing our parents’ love and approval…so we did everything we could to do “the right thing” in their eyes. Then when we went to school, that need to do “the right thing” was amplified through the schooling system. If you did as you were told and learned the syllabus that you were given, that was the right thing to do. But if you were a maverick, you were criticized and frowned upon.

A minority of people cope with this but most of us don’t, and over time, we hold other people’s opinions in higher esteem than our own. As a result, we began to pay more attention to our critics and then we learned how to do that for ourselves by developing our own inner critic.

Now, many years later, that behaviour is ingrained and impacts on your business in a way that you might not realize.

Listening to your critics – whether it’s other people or your inner critic – can actually be a powerful feedback mechanism, and for this to be the case, you MUST be able to discern what is genuinely important. As you become more successful, there will be more people who will potentially criticize you for the decisions you make and for being as successful as you are. They tend to want to “take you down” and “put you back in your place”.

And if you find that listening to your critics stops you in your tracks, causes you to doubt yourself and question your own value, then it is a sure thing that it’s stopping you from having the real success that you deserve in your business…because listening to your critics without discernment affects your self-esteem.

The word “esteem” means to regard highly or favourably, and comes from the French word, “estimer” – to fix the value of.

If we allow our self-esteem to be lowered because we doubt ourselves and listen to our critics, the value that we will ask for in terms of what we charge is directly impacted. It can show up as you not asking for the fee that you would really like, discounting your services, providing far more value than warranted by the level of service that you are being paid for, being afraid to raise your fees, continually comparing your fees to “the market”, feeling uncomfortable talking about your fees and feeling that you have to wait until you have more experience and knowledge before you can charge what you really want.

Therefore learning how to cope with your critics is the single most important skill that you need.

Here are some tips on how to cope with your critics.

Stop comparing yourself

Open up to receiving praise and positive feedback

Buy yourself the best you can afford

Pay yourself compliments without qualifying them

Remember that it’s simply their opinion and it doesn’t make them right

Deliberately choose to stop beating yourself up!

Raise your fees and be more successful anyway

Use it as an opportunity to revalue your worth rather than devalue it.

YOUR TURN

Learn to value your own opinion above anyone else’s. Learn to discern the feedback that you receive from others. Know yourself and know that what other people think of you has nothing to do with you. Your business results will thank you for it…and you’ll be pleased that you did.

Have you ever felt anxiety or fear about doing something, but also notice that no matter how many times you’ve done that same thing, the fear never seems to go away? And have you noticed that it’s different in these instances because it’s not really about getting out of your comfort zone because you know you’ve done it before?

Let me give you an example. Whenever I do a talk, hold a teleseminar or run a workshop, I love it – after the event. I’m always brimming with energy afterwards, feeling pleased with myself, sure I also know that there are things I could change and improve, but in the after-event, I know that I love speaking at events, in whatever shape or form it happens to take, and the more interactive it is, the more I love it.

And yet, the day before, I always have a feeling of dread. It’s not a nervousness that I’d normally have from doing something like, say, standing up to speak at a business networking event. It’s different. It’s a dread that has me questioning why I do it.

I recently noticed this as a pattern of mine. The contrast between the “before” and “after” is so stark that I figured there must be something more to it than just a stepping outside one’s comfort zone kind of feeling. I asked myself what it was all about. Performance anxiety? Perhaps, partly, but then I knew it ran even more deeply than that. It was a fear of loss of approval, acceptance, love. It’s something that can come up in many situations where that fear becomes “relevant”, not just the “night befores”.

But then I also realized that the flip side of that – the opportunity that comes with every “night before the event” – is my own ability to step into accepting myself unconditionally. By recognizing each time I felt the dread, that it was simply another opportunity for me to step up to being my fuller self, the dread would go away.

In the past, I would fight it. Then I would try and work out what limiting beliefs I had about myself. Then I would try and process that fear away. In my younger days, I might even have told myself off for being so stupid (or words similar to that effect). Many a time, I would simply will myself through the feeling. But when I simply noticed that it was just another opportunity for me to be OK with that core fear, it dissipates and my energy feels aligned once again. No more conflicting resistances which then allows me to step up more fully.

I don’t think our core fear ever goes away. I believe that it’s different to limiting beliefs in that it’s innate and “insatiable”… and so instead of pushing it away, we can simply accept it as an inherent part of us to recognize and embrace.

YOUR TURN

When it comes to your business, what are some of the things you know you want to do, enjoy doing, but somehow, paradoxically dread? Recognize it as an opportunity to do for yourself the very thing you fear you’ll lose (like approval and love, in my case). Then step more fully into your own greatness, step up and shine.

I’d just started Chapter 5 of Barbara Sher’s book, called Refuse to Choose!: Use All of Your Interests, Passions, and Hobbies to Create the Life and Career of Your Dreams. And I was riveted, not least because it seemed to describe me right down to the ground.

The entire book was about what Barbara calls “Scanners”.

“Scanners love to read and write, to fix and invent things, to design projects and business, to cook and sing, and to create the perfect dinner party. (You’ll notice I didn’t use the word “or”, because Scanners don’t love to do one thing or the other; they love them all.)” she writes on page 5.

Basically, Scanners love exploring and learning, so they find it hard to do just one thing. As Barbara puts it, “‘I keep waiting for this deep voice to call down from heaven and tell me what I should do!’ But that voice isn’t coming, because there is no one passion so great that a Scanner can happily limit herself to it.”

Uh oh. We have always been told we should FOCUS. What’s more, in business, it is one of the cardinal rules of marketing, if you want to make it easy for yourself and attract the clients you want, to get clear on your target market and to niche. Not so easy for Scanners!

But Barbara lists 5 steps for Scanners, which, in fact, everyone of us can take and apply to ourselves and our work. They are:

(1) Select your project and decide on your goal
Wholeheartedly throw yourself into it. Decide exactly what your finished product will look like. Give it all the time and effort.

(2) Schedule a date for a Real Deadline
A Real Deadline is essentially a deadline that you can’t move. For example, if you want to create an audio program, schedule a date well in advance, for a tele-class that you will record and let people know about it. That way you’ll have to show up for the Real Deadline and you’ll get what you want to get done done.

(3) Get to Work
Immerse yourself, dedicate yourself, focus on this work and put yourself first by doing so.

(4) Attend your Real Deadline
Make sure that your audience is appreciative – no critics allowed!

(5) Bask in Your Own Glory
I get this. And I like it.

See how all of us can take that on board and apply it?

And to that, I would add a sixth step.

(6) Set up a system to continue to market that product and delegate
This is especially important for anyone in their business. You must make sure that you do this. If you don’t, you’ll have launched the product and then nothing happens to sustain the life of the product and to reap the benefit of all those hours and effort invested in its creation. In the days when I used to have a thing – not a good thing! – about marketing, that’s exactly what I would do. I’d create something great, then move on to the next project. It didn’t occur to me to actually delegate the marketing to someone else; it could even have been someone whose sole job was to drive traffic to the website that I’d also created in support of that product.

This is certainly a step that is a must if you are pursuing multiple streams of income.

The other reason to delegate is so that it frees up your time to get into your next creative project PLUS it releases you to do the things that you are best at and that only you can do.

Most business owners don’t delegate because they are afraid that the other person can’t do it as well as they can or they haven’t realized that their best focus is on those activities that bring a high return for them. The rest they must delegate so that the business continues to operate.

From an energetic or vibrational perspective, you stay in your passion and keep your vibrational state high, and that comes back to you in great business results.

What it also means is that we can have more than one niche – but we want to get one up and running and working first, before moving on to the next.

Ah, what a relief for those of us who are Scanners!

YOUR TURN

Choose one thing, set a deadline for it, announce that deadline to the world and then go for it, knowing that you’ll have the freedom to move onto the next thing…and remember to set up that marketing system for it too.

When it comes to marketing, many coaches, consultants and solo-entrepreneurs find they have a resistance to narrowing their marketplace down to a niche. They find it a challenge because their work can genuinely help a wide range of people.

The purpose of choosing your niche, is so that you can do your best work and be the fullest expression of yourself. When you narrow down your niche, it becomes much easier to “romance your clients” and build a fulfilling relationship with them.

I say, “romance your client” because it’s not too different to being in a romance. If the other person isn’t the right fit, you’d simply say good-bye, wouldn’t you? With a romance, you want the other person in your relationship to be a great fit such that you both feel good about yourselves and each other, and your relationship grows and expands over time.

The premise is exactly the same when it comes to marketing, because marketing is exactly that – knowing who you most resonate with, and then letting people know about who you are, so that they can gauge whether they fit your bill or not.

The realm of the New Consciousness Entrepreneur is about expansive and high energies that are in alignment with who they are. Looking at it from this angle, who most resonates with you, who do you most resonate with? Who do you really understand, in terms of the challenges that they experience and the problems that they encounter…such that when you help them solve those challenges and problems, you will feel most expansive?

Another trait of the New Consciousness Entrepreneur is taking decisive decisions. The New Consciousness Entrepreneur knows that they are powerful creators and once they have clearly made a decision, the opportunities show up. And then it is up to them to step fully into the opportunity. We sometimes call those synchronicities. But it is you who must take the first step – to decide and then to step fully into it when the opportunity comes to your door. It often takes courage and that is the invitation for you to grow.

The key thing to know is that you are not stuck with your niche forever. But it is key that you decide and choose and then stick with it until you have generated the results you want.

So how do you choose your niche? The easiest way is to think about one of your clients who is representative of your client base and who, when you think about them, has you feeling your most expansive. When you talk about them, you light up, almost as if you’re in love! This client is the one whom you think about often, you know them well, you know what their main concerns are, their problems and challenges, and you know how you fit into the picture in relation to all that. Make a list of all the attributes of that person.

Now, look at that list and reflect on it in the light of all your clients, past and present.

(1) What are the patterns that you can identify? There may be more than one pattern that you might spot. For example, they may be primarily female, and mostly come from the corporate world. They may also be at a certain “level” within the corporate structure.

(2) Is there a common thread in relation to the problems and challenges that you help your clients to resolve? As a coach, let’s say that most of your clients are managers in a corporate environment. You may find that most of the work that you do with them relates to stress, or productivity, or being a better manager. If you’re a Shiatsu practitioner or physiotherapist, perhaps most of the work you do relates to sports injuries.

Write down everything you notice. Then put that list aside for a few days.

After those few days, review your list and imagine if your entire client base was made up of the same “types”. Does the prospect of that feel good? Does it feel easy for you to relate to them?…because that is the essence of the New Consciousness Entrepreneur’s business – building strong and meaningful relationships. Does it feel easy for you to have an open conversation with them?

If you find yourself saying “no” to any of the above, what is the resistance you are feeling? What is it that you are really saying “no” to? Your resistance gives you clues to the answers you are looking for.

YOUR TURN

Choose your niche market. Decide. When you do this, you open up the opportunity to then romance your potential clients and build a business that is easier, more expansive, filled with purpose and aligned with you.

I don’t know about you, but time management never really worked for me. Mind you, there are some tips from time management that are well worth following. The main thing is to know yourself and follow your own energy in terms of “when” you do things and to use your head when it comes to deciding “what” to do.

Time is the only resource that we have a finite amount of, so it’s up to you how you choose to spend it. Will you spend it in ways that support you? Or let it while away?

(1) Work on your high payoff activities

High payoff activities are revenue-generating. These comprise marketing, delivery and business development. Determine which activities are revenue-generating and make sure that you allocate time every day for this.

Wherever you can, delegate out the rest, especially those tasks that are not your forte.

Ask yourself, “Why am I doing this?” This allows you to determine firstly, whether the task should be done at all, and secondly, whether you are the right person to be doing it.

(2) Chunk your day into set time chunks

Do the same thing at the same time each day and then stick to that routine. For example, do your marketing activities at the same hours each day. Check emails at the same times each day and so on. Allocate the times for the various activities according to your own energy rhythm.

For example, I’m an early morning person and do my most effective work in the morning. So I’ll work with clients at 6 or 7 in the morning depending on the time zone differences. On days when I’m not working with a client, I’ll start my day by listening to something inspiring or informational on my iPod, even before I shower and breakfast. Then I’ll check emails. Often I’ll nip out for a quick coffee and make sure I’m back by 9. From 9 to 10 a.m., I focus on marketing activities. Then from 10 to noon, I write articles and work on idea development. Then at noon until 2 p.m. it’s lunch and emails.

Notice how all the scheduled activities are my high payoff ones.

Afternoons are flexible. Often I’ll have a nap, then follow it with activities like idea-generation or development. Other than because I’m a morning person, I find that it takes me more energy to do things like writing than it does tasks like idea-generation or development, so I do those first when I’m still fresh. Reading hardly seems to take any energy for me, so that’s last on the list.

I’ll stick to this routine as much as I possibly can. On the odd occasion, I may find that I’m “off” for some reason and then I might relax and take some time out and shuffle the day along into the afternoon, but those are few and far between.

Again, it comes back to knowing yourself. If you’re going to shuffle things along to a time that never happens, don’t.

This is a powerful technique which I would never have guessed would be as effective as it is. It’s allowed me to work half-days with peace of mind, knowing that if I cover the items that have been chunked into the day, I’d have completed the important things I need to do. With this, I no longer get to the end of the day feeling as if I’ve spent the whole day at the desk and yet not achieved much – something that used to be a frequent occurrence for me in the past.

(3) Outsource and delegate

This was one I resisted for a very long time because I felt that I “should” be doing it all myself – especially in the early days of my business. I insisted on doing the book-keeping myself, for example, because I’m a qualified chartered accountant and I knew how to. But I dreaded the day each month that ‘d allocated to book-keeping. As soon as I outsourced this, I felt such a sense of freedom. And more importantly, it freed up time for me to spend on other more lucrative activities, like preparing for talks at associations and conferences, or writing articles for publications.

The same thing happened with maintenance of my website. I quite enjoyed creating my website but maintaining it was a different matter.

Plus, these tasks are administrative in nature and definitely not revenue-generating.

So which tasks to you know that you don’t enjoy doing but you keep on doing it because you think you should? Outsource and delegate those as a matter of priority.

If you’re thinking that you can’t afford it, do think again. I wouldn’t advise that you go into debt in order to outsource, but outsource even when you think you aren’t at the income level you think you should be at before you do so. It will free up your time and energy and open up avenues for more income.

(4) Take inspired action when the inspiration hits

Sometimes inspiration hits us in the middle of nowhere. It doesn’t work by the clock. So when you get the inspired idea, you’re going to have to be the judge and take the most appropriate inspired action.

If it’s an article topic, write it down in an “Ideas Journal”. If you get a string of points for a talk you’re giving, write them down. Then carry on with whatever you’re focused on. If it’s an inspiration to phone someone, tune in – is it just the idea to phone that person or is it the intuitive hit to actually make that phone call straight away. Learn to listen to your intuition and ideas, and learn to discern whether the inspired action is to just write down the ideas and carry on, or briefly stop what you’re doing to act on the idea immediately.

Once again, it comes back to knowing yourself. Be honest! If you’re one of those people for whom inspiration hits but you talk yourself out of it over time, then, you must take that inspired action immediately, before you talk yourself out of it.

(5) Only check your emails at set times

Resist the temptation to check your emails every time one comes in. Email is addictive. Set specific times in the day to check your emails and only check your emails then.

When you get to your emails, deal with the ones that need attention immediately. Batch up any others to read into a “To Read” folder and read them when you get to your reading time. Then clear it out.

My goal every day is to get my Inbox down to less than a page long…and I’m working on getting it totally clear each day.

(6) Create a “To DAD” List

Don’t carry everything around in your head. It takes up energy needlessly. Get everything down onto a list and you’ll find that you’ll clear your head. The “To DAD” list is your “To Do And Delegate List”.

In the left hand column, write down the to-dos for yourself but only write down those items that you absolutely MUST do today. (Clue: High payoff activities and those for which you have an imminent deadline). You should have only a few items in this list, no more than 5.

Everything else goes in the right hand column – “To Delegate”. Allocate whom to delegate each task to – your virtual assistant, your webmaster, your book-keeper, and whomever else you outsource to, and also your Divine Self (or Higher Intelligence or Universe or Source, whatever you call it). Typically, the items that I delegate to my Divine Self are things that I know are coming up for me that I want worked on “in the background”. Examples are: Get ideas for my next newsletter topic, line up 60 people for my preview teleseminar, get 5 clients ready to sign up when we launch the website product.

Doing this allows you to free up your mind and releases energy that you can channel into the activity you are focusing on.

(7) Stop multi-tasking

If you think about it, there really isn’t any such thing as multi-tasking. We can only ever focus on a single activity at any one time. You may be able to handle a number of things in quick succession relative to someone else, but at any point, you can only do one thing.

If, for example, you’re listening to a class recording and writing emails at the same time, you’re actually zoning in and out between one and the other. You miss bits and pieces in between, and ultimately it takes you longer to get things done. If your class recording isn’t important enough for you to be fully present with it, then don’t bother listening to it.

Also, read my e-book, “How to Get Out of the Busy-ness of Life and get Busy Living Life” which tells you how to focus and concentrate effectively. If you haven’t already got a copy, just email me and request one and I’ll send it to you.

YOUR TURN

A trait of super-successful people is that they don’t just implement one thing at a time. They pick several and get them going. If you don’t feel that you can put all 7 of the above ways into action right now (why not?), then pick at least 3 and run with it. You’ll be pleased you did because you’ll be more effective and have more free time to do other things you love.

For a while now, I’ve known that my “thing”, whether you call it passion or purpose or mission or something else, is to help people be the fullest expression of themselves. I confess though, that doing that consistently myself has not always been easy. There are moments… and there are plenty of other moments when I know that I’m not out there, stepping fully into it.

And every once in while, you come across someone who is. And when you do, you know it because the energy is so expansive you feel it. It’s so expansive you are moved to tears. And that’s exactly what happened for me when I watched this video (see below).

For many of us, especially those of us who are coaches or consultants or healers or solo-entrepreneurs, the vehicle for our expression is our business. Will you decide today to step even more fully into being the fullest expression of you and taking your business into the stratosphere?

Click on the picture below and when you’ve watched the video, come back here and leave your comment.
