the true power of your true being newsletter12 July 2007 Dear Reader I have been finding many inspirational moments to write. I've been getting plenty of ideas, including one that I'm working on right now, called, "Abundance Reminders" that I'm especially excited about. I'll let you know about it in either the next newsletter or the one after that, but for now, just know that it's in relation to helping you raise your vibration around the subject of abundance, and it's fun! I've also updated the blog a couple of times. Latest topics are: Tuesday, July 10, 2007 - HOW IS IT THAT MY MOST INSPIRING MOMENTS ARE ORDINARY ONES? If you're interested to read, do take a look at my blog here. LATEST NEWSNEXT FREE TRIAL SESSION STARTS IN ONLY TWO WEEKS - SIGN-UP NOW! We are now on Week 5 of The True Power of Your True Being programme. The changes that people have been experiencing have astounded even me. Here's what one of the participants said this week. "Quite amazing. It relieves me of lots of stress that I didn't even know that I had. I feel really powerful with it, and that's not in a gladatorial way, just internally powerful. That's the biggest effect that I've noticed and that probably came very early and it's stayed with me." There are two alternative start dates for the next two week trial – 24 or 25 July. That's only in a couple of weeks so go to www.thetruepowerofyourtruebeing.com/register.htm to register now. ARTICLE - GLORIOUS SELF-EXPRESSIONMost people around the world have now seen the magic of Paul Potts, the winner of the Britain’s Got Talent competition. (In case you missed it, take a look at his performance here on youtube). What’s inspired us so is how this quiet unassuming not-so-confident-looking person could so effortlessly belt out a most touching rendition of Nessun Dorma. When I watched it, it brought tears to my eyes. You can feel the depth of Paul’s passion in his singing. So can millions of others who have all watched his video on youtube, not to mention the millions who watched and voted for him on the TV. Yet, so many of us are out of touch with our passion. So many of us don’t even begin to know what it is. Some people never lose touch with it – my brother for one; he’s always loved being a musician and guitarist, and you can get a sense of him on his website www.kienlim.com. But other people – perhaps you, and definitely me in the past – forget. We do the "right thing", perhaps what our parents said was the thing to do, we listen to others, ditching what we love, and not listening to our own inner voice. We stop being true to ourselves. Then, when we do want to know what our passion is, we don’t know what it is. The solution to this can feel hard, because now that we want to be back in touch with our passion, we notice that it’s missing. What we really need to do now is to start seeking joy – doing anything and everything simply for the joy of it – for no other purpose than to seek joy. And that something that we choose to do simply for the enjoyment of it may well be doing nothing! We have learned very well that we should not only keep ourselves busy and "useful" all of the time, but that we "should" also do things for a purpose. We are told that we must determine what our desired outcome is, and so, we do everything as a means to an end. Seldom do we choose to do something simply for the enjoyment of it. Yet it is those activities that will bring us back in touch with our passion, and ultimately, our sense of purpose in relation to how we wish to contribute to the world at large. It is when we allow ourselves the space to feel, that we also allow ourselves to feel our own passions. Rather like my most inspiring ordinary moments (see Blog topic mentioned above). So, why not choose today and everyday to seek joy? If for no other reason than because you deserve it, and because you have the capacity to be a conscious creator. RECOMMENDATIONSAs we are on the topic of self-expression, here's one to watch - the film Pleasantville. IN PASSING... A VERONICA'S GEMWe’ve been doing lots of work on the house, the idea being so that we can have guests come to stay while they come on a non-retreat retreat here with us. I’ll tell you more about that another time. But one day, Jeff had a moment of concern. He... we hardly ever have those anymore, but, what if it doesn’t work out? As you can imagine, we’ve been seeing a substantial outlay in terms of new furniture, refurbishing, not to mention garden tools that we’ve never had to think about before in London... and this isn’t yet balanced by an equally large inflow of income. If you think about it in business or investment terms, this is just par for the course. But still, Jeff felt unsettled. I said, "If it ever came to that, what’s the worst that could possibly happen?" Well, we would have many potentials available to us... and the worst thing that could happen is that we would "have to" rent out our house and take up contract work for a few months – more than likely in London. Well, that’s not so bad really is it? Things only feel bad when we don't look for the gift or potential in what is, and insist that it be something other than it is. What we both suddenly saw with astounding clarity in that moment is that any contrast (something that you don’t want to happen apparently happens) is simply an invitation to experience another adventure. Wow. It is one of the most liberating realisations that either of us have ever had, and it feels wonderful. Well, that’s it from me for now. Do email if you have thoughts to share. I'd love to hear from you. Until then. Love
