the true power of your true being newsletter31 August 2007 Dear Reader Wow, the last couple of weeks have flown by, yet again. And in the meantime, we've seen even more unrest. Gale force winds, hurricanes, financial ups and downs. Do you get a sense that the world as we've known it is changing, and changing rapidly? Yet more of the clearing out of the old and letting go that I mentioned in the last newsletter. For many people, change feels unsettling, but only because we feel that we don't know what's coming. The crucial point is that we are all creators, with tremendous power to choose - starting with our thoughts. You might like to read more about this, you might like to take a look at the Coach the Coach article, about half way down the Media page. LATEST NEWSNEXT FREE TRIAL SESSION STARTS IN SEPTEMBER - ONLY A FEW SPACES LEFT We've just finished the last series of The True Power of Your True Being programme. The next trial sessions start in September. One of the sessions is already fully booked, and there are just 3 spaces left for the classes that begin on Wednesday, 19 September, at 8 a.m. Eastern, which is 1 p.m. UK (BST). In our class last week, here's some of what one of the participants shared. "I am in a sort of transformation at the moment. One of the things that has popped into my head is that it's OK not knowing... I don't need to worry about getting it from outside and that's just making me feel very happy, actually. Much happier than I've felt for ages. And not every minute, but whenever I notice, I can easily come back to it... I kind of feel that I can turn anything around, even if things are bad... it's my interpretation that I can change... " If you'd like to give this a go, go to www.thetruepowerofyourtruebeing.com/register.htm to register now. ARTICLE - CONTRAST & PERCEPTIONDo you get the feeling that perhaps there is more going on than meets the eye? Do you sometimes wonder whether there is some greater truth somewhere and you wish you knew what it was (or perhaps you already do)? With so much going on in the world these days, we have all been seeing and perhaps also experiencing great contrast. By contrast, I mean that which is in contrast or not in alignment with what we would like. When we notice that contrast, it usually doesn't feel very good. For example, when we catch a clip on the news, see the anguish of fellow human beings as a result of losing their homes, hear about global warming, or face of what is happening in our economy or even closer to home, in our families, we FEEL that. And that doesn't feel good. It can feel unsettling, puzzling, perhaps even frightening. We may even question what our world is coming to. It's at times like this when we notice and feel the contrast that we can remind ourselves of just one thing... That contrast, and therefore, the onset of "negative" feelings is a cause for celebration. It tells us that we are out of alignment with our true selves, and extends to us an invitation to change our point of perception. It invites us to look around for a new potential and to choose that instead of what we are currently perceiving. Our point of perception becomes our reality. When the bombs went off in London in the summer of 2005, I was caught up in the chaos. In fact, I was just a couple of miles down the road, making my way to the very location where one of the bombs had exploded. Thousands of people were milling around in the streets. I walked to the nearest Starbucks and sat down for a coffee. Other than that the store was additionally crowded for a mid-morning, everyone was calm. As I left to walk home, I felt quite overwhelmed with a feeling of gratitude. Gratitude seemed like the strangest emotion to have... and what was I feeling gratitude for? That it wasn't raining and that walking and being stuck in the street was so much easier than if it had been raining ... not to mention the rescue work. A week or so later, I caught up with a friend of mine, Katrina, who works with an investment bank in Canary Wharf. She told me about the day of the bombs, and how, that evening, the only way for people to be transported away from Canary Wharf was by river taxi. No other form of transport was available. But, she said, "Everyone was having a good time. We were standing in the warm sunshine, we were all talking to one another. No one minded that it was taking a long time, and it felt good. It felt as if we were all united." So, consider this as a potential or a possibility. At one level, these acts of terrorism are to be condemned, for all the pain that they cause, the insecurity and everything else that I don't have to list out because I know that you already know. But take a step back, and consider a different point of perception. What if these acts are all part of a bigger divine plan to wake us up into becoming conscious creators - to choose peace, to seek peace, to extend love and good will to others and to begin to know that we are truly all one? The next day, in the newspapers, I saw page upon page of photographs... of people helping people, people embracing people. These were people who normally travel in their own vacuum, lost in their own world, not speaking to the next person on the train or tube. The day of the London bombing, these strangers befriended one another. The bombs brought people closer. So what if the global contrast that we are seeing more and more of these days are truly part of a bigger divine plan, to upset us enough so that we choose differently than we have been doing in the past? You might consider that this can't possibly be true, but the invitation is, if you do choose this perspective - or whatever other perspective you decide to choose - does it make you feel better about yourself and your world? If it does, then why not choose it? Remember what Mahatma Gandhi said, "We must BE the change we wish to see in the world." If we no longer want a world of fear and war, or whatever it is that we don't want, then we must choose the perspective that enables us to firstly be what we want. Start now. Don't wait until the message gets so loud that you can't ignore it. We can... no, indeed we are, despite what may meet the eye, creating heaven on earth. IN PASSING... A VERONICA'S GEMJeff and I were chatting about something or another the other day, as we drove into Noosa. He had one point of view and I had another. He explained again in yet another different way, so that I could better understand what he meant. Then it hit home, and I said, "OK. You're right!" and after a short pause, I laughed, adding, " And you know what? In saying that you're that means that I'm now right too." I had initially meant it as a joke, but as the words came out, I realised that there was far more truth to my statement than I had actually even thought about. So, that means, that agreeing with someone else whose point of view was different to yours to begin with, doesn't mean that you're wrong and that they're right (not that there's wrong and right, as such, but that's another topic). Because when you agree with them being right, then you're right too! Life's funny. So! That’s it from me for now. Do email if you have thoughts to share. I'd love to hear from you. Until then. Love
