the true power of your true being newsletter

17 September 2007

Dear Reader

Wow, halfway through September already. Many people - well, those in the northern hemisphere - would have finished their summer holidays by now. The thing is, it only takes a day or two before the holiday seems to become a distant memory. But here's the thing - what is it about holidays that make them special? It's the feeling that we have, it's the "being" that we allow ourselves while on holiday that somehow we don't when we're back in our every day.

How can you bring that feeling that makes your holidays special into your very day?

Some months ago, I took a short trip away. When I got back to my home airport and I smelled the air as I walked into the car park, I thought to myself, "I feel as if I have come home to be on holiday." You can too. But it does take effort especially at the beginning to make the changes. It can also take courage - plenty of it - because you'll need to make different choices and to change old habits. You may even find yourself questioning whether you're doing the right thing. I know that I did, often thinking that it would surely be far easier to go back and do the same old, but something within me also knew that that wasn't what I really wanted.

Is it worth it? Well, it did feel tough many a time, but, worth it, you bet it is. But, the person to listen to isn't me, nor anyone else come to that. It is your deeper knowing inner self.

VERONICA'S GEMS

You may or may not know that one of the things that I do is design and make bespoke jewellery. When I make a piece for someone, even if I haven't met them before, I "connect" in with them at some level. Then I go through all of the beads in my box, and somehow, some stones will resonate and others just won't feel right. A design then pops into mind, and I create a piece especially for them. It's only after I have done this that I research the healing aspects or the symbolism of those crystals and a name for the piece will arise. Hence, every piece I make is unique. I love making these bespoke pieces of jewellery because it allows me to be creative, and also spread the message through the jewellery of "You Are Perfect As You Are"

Anyway, I thought that as the holiday season is nearly upon us, you might be interested in a gift for someone. If you are, please do visit the website at www.veronicasgems.com. Prices start at USD100 (plus p&p) for a necklace, and USD50 (plus p&p) for earrings. In any case, you might be interested simply to take a look.

NEXT FREE TRIAL SESSION STARTS IN NOVEMBER - SOME PLACES ALREADY BOOKED

The next trial sessions start in November - pick from either 6 or 7 November. The full six weeks will then take us up to the second week in December, just in time for the holiday break.

At the end of our last teleclass series, Sharon Glassman (www.sharonglassman.com) emailed. Here's what she said.

"Hi Veronica, Thank you most of all, for the awesome class. You're a fantastic teacher and your material was so straight forward, clear and powerful. I graduated in the true sense of the word, having moved step by step to a higher place and plane.

Will be in Boulder house-hunting in three weeks and have been helped greatly in the process by Essence, that dancing flower, who has made the transition possible and easier and yes, fun!

Needless to say, I will keep my eyes/ears out for folks who might be interested in the classes."

I'd love to have you join one of the next trial sessions if this resonates for you. And if you have any firends whom you feel may resonate too, please do tell them about it. To register, go to www.thetruepowerofyourtruebeing.com/register.htm .

RECENT BLOG TOPICS

Thursday, September 6, 2007 - FOLLOWING THE YES'S

There's a wonderful video within this blog posting that is worth watching even if you're not interested in reading. I definitely recommend that you take a look at it. Go to the blog here.

ARTICLE - OH SO MANY THINGS TO DO!

Last week, as I browsed through the local newspaper, I found one thing after another that I wanted to do - go to the Kite Festival, see one of the programmes at the Blues Festival, oh and the World Music concert, plus the Fashion and Food Fiesta... then there's the virtual course I'm putting together and also the new area of the website to launch... oh so many things to do!

So many delicious choices.

Yet, only a few short years ago, my choices seemed far more limited. It was I who made it that way of course, through the choices that I chose. Even though I was living in London, the mecca of shows, entertainment, food and so many other things besides, my choices revolved around work, work and work, for the most part... and they often didn't feel that delicious either.

If there was anything outside of that that sparked my interest, I'd feel a desire to go, and then feel that I just couldn't be bothered. You see, after doing all the "should's", there wasn't much energy left for the wants.

Yet another thing most of us have back to front.

We think that if we have the money in the bank, then we'll be able to do the things we want. We think that if we've done the essential stuff, then we'll have the time (and the energy) for the things we really want to do. We think that if we look after everyone else first, then we can look after ourselves. We think that if we focus on the bottom-line in business, then we'll be able to look after our heart-line - you know, all those things like looking after the needs and wants and the spirit of staff, customers, suppliers and so on.

But all of that is back to front.

When we get ourselves into the place of abundance so that we know that we can do all the things we want because the money will be in the bank to facilitate that, then the money comes. When we do the things we really want to do, we have more energy to do the essentials, and funnily, it also takes less time. When we look after ourselves first, we spill over in our feeling good that we can't help but be there for others. When we look after the heart-line, the bottom-line multiplies.

In short, we want to fill ourselves up - first.

John Travolta, during his interview on The Actor's Studio, explained just this concept in an exquisite way. He said, and I'm paraphrasing, "If I had $5 to spend, I'd think, 'burger' or 'French meal', and I'd pick the French meal, because it would fill me up in a way the burger never could. The burger, I could have everyday, but the French meal.... The same money but the French meal filled me up more. The same with movies. What movie will I buy tickets for? Same money, which movie would fill me up more?"

What a wonderful way to think about it. In my book, that's the same as seeking joy - something I encourage all of my clients to do, and something that I share in every seminar I run. Seek joy. It is the expression of your soul.

It is the very core of aliveness, and surely, aliveness is what life is all about, isn't it?

So choose what fills you up. Choose how you'll spend your money and how you'll spend your time on whatever it is that fills you up... even if it is doing nothing.

Let me leave you with thoughts from Rosemary Bartle who emailed me this week.

Hello Veronica,

Welcome to Australia - what a great choice you have made! I trust you have settled in and enjoying life in Oz.

A few years ago I was struggling with some aspects of my vision and goals - they were always far into the future, not to be had now. How would I ever achieve a vision if it was always in the future and I felt like I couldn't have it now? I purchased your program "Get what you really want in just 12 minutes a day", worked through that and finally the penny dropped, and I started enjoying bits of my vision everyday! One of my dreams has always been to have a yacht and go cruising, wherever, whenever. Well, soon after working through your program, the yacht we wanted to own was offered to us at an extremely reasonable price, so we snapped it up! If the penny hadn't dropped about the vision, I probably would have thought we couldn't have it yet!! Anyway that was two years ago, and once we had the boat we started planning to go on a big trip. To cut a long story short, last week we returned from a 4 month cruise of the WA coast. What an experience that was, and we had a ball - hairy moments and all! It was a dream come true. We have now started planning the next trip to start in May 2009 (work contracts to complete first) and at this stage we should be able to go for around 4-5 years - how exciting! The interesting thing was that the response and interest we got from friends seemed to suggest that we were living the dreams of so many people; not the sailing bit necessarily, but the courage to go and do what you really want to do.

So thanks heaps Veronica for your great program and the encouragement it gave me. You certainly have a prominent place in the "list" of those who helped us realise our dream!

Cheers, Rosemary Bartle
